USI – Mother Seton Hospital
CELEBRATES 42 ND ANNIVERSARY

Today, May 7, 2008, we offer this mass on the occasion of the 42 nd Foundation Anniversary of Mother Seton Hospital.

Before, the Hospital employs around 50 personnel… as of today, employment has redounded to the benefit of countless individuals and their families.

Before, the Hospital has 50 beds…today, we are registered 150 bed capacity level IV accredited training and teaching hospital by the Department of Health, and tertiary level accreditation by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.

These are just a few of the differences of the hospital, then and now. But one thing remains the same… the mission to provide excellent holistic healthcare services in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul. This is a testament to all those people who have been involved with the Hospital in the past. It is now up to us to pass on this mission to the future.

Operational-wise, slowly but surely we are continuously upgrading our equipment and facilities, and expanding infrastructure to meet the needs of our costumer. Personnel-wise, we believe that we must put the right person for the right job.

The hospital is not immune to external factors of economics. We are also directly and indirectly affected by global warming, global inflation rate, rising prices of food and fuel, rising cost of medical and ancillary equipment and supplies. External factors of economics are beyond the control of management.

Therefore, we must continue to strive for the success of the Hospital's vision and mission. We must continue providing quality healthcare services. This should not only be the burden of the Daughters of Charity Sisters. We, the lay-mission partners must also do our part if we want Mother Seton Hospital to continue for another 42 years.
