August and September are marian-activity laden months. We celebrated once again the traditional maternal visit of the image of Our Lady of Penafrancia or “ Pagsungko ni Ina” which took place last August 18, 2007. The image of INA was brought along the different units and rooms of the hospital to allow everyone especially the sick, the helpless and despondent patients to pay homage to Our Lady of Penafrancia. Some patients became emotional and grateful during the time INA was in their midst at the time of crisis.

Besides, several devoted personnel joined the Traslacion wearing yellow t-shirts and bringing the banner of USI-Mother Seton Hospital. As Ms. Apple Abellera of Pastoral Care said, “Being a bicolana, I have a great devotion and love to INA which my parents mold us to honor her as our beloved INA. Not so many to mention but I believe that she has made miracles in my life”.

Marian feast day celebrations has been an annual practice since 2005, when all the nursing units (which are named after the marian images) have celebrated its feast days:

Our Lady of Salvation unit - August 18 ( 3 rd Saturday of August)

Our Lady of Penafrancia unit - September 12 (in lieu of the original feast day of September 16)

Our Lady of the Rosary unit- October 7

Our Lady of Fatima unit- October 13

It started the celebration with a mass as Fr. Danilo Tuason and Fr. Gerard Guadalupe the main celebrant of the event.
